Joseph Gallagher

Joseph W . Gallagher of Stoneham, MA passed away on June 4 after a period of declining health.

He was the son of William J. Gallagher and Katherine (nee) Rogers. He is survived by his children, William Gallagher of Overland Park, KS, Joseph Gallagher of Brockton, MA, Erin Apostolos and her husband James of Alexandria, NH and Amy Kunberger. He is also survived by grandchildren Kaitlin and Jacalin Gallagher and step-grandchildren Janelle Buzzutto and Melissa Petto and by his brothers John Gallagher of Stoneham, MA and James Gallagher and his wife Barbara of Wakefield, MA as well as many nieces, nephews and step great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents and his siblings William Gallagher , Jr., Barbara Leone, Margaret Ryan, Madeline Finn, and Katherine Gallagher .
Joe worked at Transitron in Wakefield, MA and then as an elevator mechanic for many years before starting his own company, Essex Elevator, from which he retired. Joe was a Korean War veteran and was proud of the time he served in the USMC.

Due to conditions related to COVID-19, Joe will have a private burial at the NH Veteran's Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.
