Joseph Milano

Joseph A . Milano , age 85, of Rochester, NH, formerly of Naples, FL and Stoneham, died Thursday, December 20 at his home.

Born in Stoneham on August 29, 1933, he was the son of the late Guilliano and Mary (Bartolli) Milano .

Joseph raised in Stoneham and was a graduate of Stoneham High School. After High School, he enlisted in the Air Force and served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Teamsters and was a retired truck driver for Sylvania. Joseph loved to travel, with Disney World being his favorite destination. Along with his wife Joanne, he lived in Florida for 20 years before moving back to New England, after his wife Joanne passed away. Joseph was very passionate about his Italian cooking while enjoying Italian music. His favorite holiday was Christmas. He was a contributor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the ASPCA, and the American Lung Association. He was a member of the Marconi Club and the Sons of Italy. Joseph was also a very big New England Sports fan, particularly the Red Sox.

He was the beloved husband of the late Joanne Milano . Joseph was the loving father of Rosie Lamb of Stoneham and Mary Moore of Barrington, NH. He was the step-father of Vern Hoover of Newmarket, NH, Penny Evangelista of Lynn, Jane Salkins of Florida and the late Cissy Thibodeau. Joseph was the loving brother of Josephine Milano of Stoneham and the late Vincent, Tina and Laborio Milano . Joseph is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren.

His funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham on Thursday at 10 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Thursday morning prior to the mass from 8:30 to 9:30. Interment, St. Patrick Cemetery, Stoneham.
