Joseph Petrillo

Joseph A. "Tony" Petrillo, 96, formerly of Wakefield died on Tuesday, June 4 at the Wingate of Andover.

Born in Cambridge on January 28, 1917 he was the son of the late Augustino and Asunta (Freda) Petrillo.

Mr. Petrillo had been a long time Wakefield resident and had lived in Melbourne, Florida for 14 years. He was a retired shoe worker for the former Copley Shoe Company and L.B. Evans Shoe Company both in Wakefield.

Mr. Petrillo was the husband of the late Louise T. (Novello) Petrillo. He is survived by his three sons; Frank A. Petrillo of Tewksbury, Joseph A. Petrillo, Jr. of Billerica and Augustine Petrillo of Boston, his two sisters; Mary Oliveri and Florence Weaver both of Wakefield, his 6 grandchildren; Diana, Monica, June, Angela, Augustine and Dominic and his 6 great grandchildren; Liam, Kathryn, Sawyer, Cassidy, Carly and Lincoln. Mr. Petrillo was predeceased by his sister Josephine Montuori and his three brothers; Frank Petrillo, Frederick Petrillo and Augustine Petrillo.

Funeral services are private.
