Joseph M. Supino, age 90 of Lynnfield, died peacefully, Monday February 24 in Salem, MA . He was born in Everett on January 25,1935 and was the son of the late Joseph and Phyllis (Bucci) Supino. He was raised in Everett and was the youngest of fifteen children. He was a graduate of Everett High School where he was a star football player and met cheerleader JoAnn Ricci. He graduated from the University of New Hampshire where he earned a Football scholarship and played on the UNH football team. Although he enjoyed playing football, his Education was his priority and football gave him this opportunity. Joe was the only one of his siblings to graduate from College. Joe & JoAnn married Sept of 1957. They lived on Oliver St in Everett before moving to Williamberg Va. then onto New Orleans where they welcomed their first child Michael. Joe served as a 1 st Lt. in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

They moved back to Everett for a short period then purchased a home in Lynnfield, MA. Joe worked for Hearthstone Insurance then joined Allstate Insurance with an office located in the Sears Store in Saugus, Ma. Joe, with his natural ability to connect with people, loved his sales job and also the freedom it allowed for him to get involved in the Lynnfield Community. He established Supino insurance in the late 1980’s where he thrived as a business owner bringing along his many loyal customers. Joe coached youth Football where he mentored many kids who have credited him with giving them a solid foundation to succeed. Joe later Co-founded the Cape Ann Youth Football League with guidance from LHS Coach Bill Rodan. Joe will always be remembered as one of the Lynnfield Legends! He also served as Commissioner of the Lynnfield Recreation Department for many years and ran Lynnfield Junior Sports as well. He made many life long friends while playing for the Lynnfield Men’s Softball League, and playing golf as a longtime member of the Thompson Country Club in North Reading. There he and JoAnn played many rounds over the years with their kids, grandkids and friends.

 Joes positive attitude and outlook on life allowed him to make the best of his time at Devereau Skilled Nursing Facility in Marblehead. He was well cared for and well respected buy the staff and residents, even being voted resident president.

Joseph was the beloved husband of JoAnn (Ricci) Supino. He was the loving father of Michael J. Supino and wife Marianne, Mark A. Supino and wife Deb, and Brenda Supino all of Lynnfield. He was the brother of the late John, James, Carl, Albert, Marion, Anna, Barbara and Yvonne. He was the loving grandfather of Cindy, Michael, Chris, Craig, Jenna, AJ, Amanda, Matthew, Derek. He was the Great Grandfather of Mya, Gavin, Ryan, Macie, Madelyn, Marcus, Sadie and Aiden. He leaves several nieces and nephews.

 His Funeral Service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Avenue Wakefield on Saturday March 1 at 12:30 pm. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 11:00am. Interment will be at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.
