Joseph A. Troiano, 86, of Londonderry, New Hampshire formerly of Stoneham died on Sunday, March 26 at his residence.
Born in Boston on March 29, 1930, he was the son of the late Clemente (Mike) and Mary (DeNaples) Troiano.
Mr. Troiano grew up in Boston's West End. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He worked for the Museum of Science in Boston for many years and was the owner of Troiano Associates Printing in Stoneham. Mr. Troiano was a member of the Stoneham Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years Mary T. (August) Troiano, his five daughters; Pegi Randall and her husband Steven of Westford, Debra Lanigan and her husband Richard of Reading, Jody Troiano and her husband Tom McNamara of Hanover, Cindy Bencal and her husband Paul and Stacey Barrasso and her husband Vincent all of Londonderry, New Hampshire. Mr. Troiano was loving "Papa" to his 9 grandchildren Jenessa, Josh, Alexandra, Jonathan, Ryan, Jillene, Zach, Liz, and Jonah and four great grandchildren Nathan, Cameron, Emma, and Jack. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister Mary Vitiello.
His Funeral will be held from the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Thursday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4-7pm. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
