Joseph Visco Ii

Joseph A. Visco II, age 63, of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Lynnfield, MA died unexpectedly on July 13, 2022 at his residence in Florida.

He was born on November 21, 1958 in Boston, MA to Joseph Visco of Lynnfield and the late Patricia (Koeppe) Visco. The family lived in East Boston, and later resided in West Peabody, and Lynnfield.

Joe spent his childhood summers at Camp Rotary in Boxford, returning year after year, creating memories as both camper and counselor. As a teen, Joe was involved in the local Minuteman Militia, and was voted teenager of the month in Lynnfield for his work in the local community. He graduated from Lynnfield High School in 1977 and went on to UMass Amherst where he studied engineering.

Joe was very tech savvy and could create a working computer from the seemingly useless parts of broken machines. After college he worked in computer engineering at Wang Laboratories. While at Wang, Joe also enjoyed bowling as a member of the company's bowling league.

A lover of animals, especially dogs, he could often be seen riding around in his beloved Mustang with one of his faithful companions. In recent years he lived in Massachusetts and Florida, finally settling in Fort Lauderdale.

In addition to his father, Joe leaves his siblings: Denise Visco of Gaithersburg, MD, Patricia Falasca of Saugus, and Diana Visco of Wakefield; as well as stepmother, Elizabeth Visco, of Lynnfield and his step-brothers: Donald Dembro of Peabody, and Christopher Dembro of NH. He is survived by many extended family members and friends. In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by his sister, Deborah Ann Visco.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Adelaide Church, 708 Lowell St., Peabody on Tuesday, August 2 at 10:30am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
