Josephine Poti

Josephine A. Poti , 95, of Wakefield and formerly of North Reading, died Saturday, May 3 at the Bear Hill Nursing Center.

Born on Brooklyn, New York on November 26, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Carmen and Carmella (Muscatella) Guerrera.

Mrs. Poti was raised in Brooklyn before making her move to Wakefield, where she had been a long time resident. She was an active member of St. Florence Parish.

Mrs. Poti was the beloved wife of Eugene E. Poti . She was the loving mother of Jeannine Cutter and her late husband Russell of Wakefield, Diane Brophy and husband Paul of Londonderry, NH, Jessica Robbins and husband Steve of Freedom, NH, and Stephanie Morris and husband Keith of Wakefield. She was the sister of John Guerrera of FL, Genevieve Fedele of NY, Michael Guerrera of PA, Mary Antosiewicz of NY, and the late Anna Cuciti, Rose Lawrik, and Victoria DeLuca.

She was the adoring grandmother of Elizabeth Littlehale, Michael, Christopher and Eugene White, Miranda Locke, Karla Owens, and Derek, Lauren and Samantha Morris. She was also the great grandmother of Paige and Gwyneth Littlehale, Katrina, Brandon, Amanda, Christopher and Addison White, Joshua Locke, and Jack and Cole Owens.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday at 9am followed by a funeral mass in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield at 10 o'clock. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-8pm. Interment will be at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
