Josephine R. Strangie, 81, of Reading formerly of Wakefield, died on Tuesday, September 29 at her residence.
Born in Boston on April 4. 1939, she was the daughter of the late Augustino and Francis Corso.
Mrs. Strangie was a graduate of Medford High School, Class of 1957 and Northeastern University. She had been a Wakefield resident for 52 years before moving to Reading in 2013. Mrs. Strangie was a retired x-ray technician.
She was the wife of the late Anthony Strangie. Mrs. Strangie is survived by her four daughters; Lisa Losco and her husband Jack of Wakefield, Josephine Cramer and her husband Mark of Manchester, NH, Lauren Strangie and her husband Tim of Meredith, NH and Christine Maffioli and her husband Johnny of Stoneham, her sister Rosalie Carabello of Reading and her five grandchildren; Joseph "JJ" Losco, Anthony Losco, Gianna Toppi, Rachel Toppi and Natalia Sousa. She was predeceased by her brother Ignatius "Sonny" Corso and her sister Anna Tringale.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham on Monday at 10am. Interment will be private.
