Josephine Vinciguerra

Josephine G. Vinciguerra, 97, of Wakefield died on Monday, September 14 at the Winchester Nursing Center.

Born in Boston on March 22, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Grace (Dell'Aria)) Graceffa.

Mrs. Vinciguerra was raised in Chelsea and was a longtime Medford resident. She operated Beauty Shops in Medford and was also a seamtress. She enjoyed sewing and knitting.

Mrs. Vinciguerra was the wife of the late Salvatore Vinciguerra. She is survived by two sons, Frederick J. Vinciguerra and his wife Kathleen of Wakefield and Peter Vinciguerra of FL, her daughter Rosemary Serena of Winchester, a brother John Graceffa of Stoneham and two sisters, Eleanor McCoy of NY and Mary Jane Digerolamo of IL and 6 grandchildren, Michelle, Victor, Keith, Kelly Sullivan and husband Brian, Erik and Michael. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Mrs. Vinciguerra was predeceased by her brothers, Louis, Albert, Anthony and Samuel Graceffa.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Thursday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in the Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 to 8pm. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Most Blessed Sacrament Church.
