, 97, of Lynnfield passed away at the Lahey Clinic in Peabody on Saturday, March 26.
Born in Boston on July 2, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and
Josephine
DiBlasi.
Mrs.
Zaffiro
was raised in Boston but had been a Lynnfield resident for over 40 years.
Josephine
had also lived in Medford and had also spent many years living and vacationing in Essex, MA. Expressing her artistic side,
Josephine
enjoyed sculpting and painting.
Mrs.
Zaffiro
was the wife of the Joseph
Zaffiro
. She was the sister of Sarah Scaturro of Wakefield the late Anna DiBlasi and John A. & Maurice DiBlasi..
Josephine
is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield on Wednesday at 9 A.M. followed by a funeral mass in the Our Lady of the Assumption Church on the corners of Salem St. and Grove St. Lynnfield at 10 o'clock. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 – 8 P.M.
Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Lynnfield.
