Joyce Denning

Joyce Georgia Denning , 81, of Wakefield, died Sunday, February 2 at the D'Youville Senior Care Center in Lowell.

Born in Van Buren, Maine on June 12, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Annie (Baker) Denning .

Joyce was a graduate of Wakefield High School. She was also a graduate of Tufts University and received her masters in Economics from Duke University. She was a retired Political Science professor for the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, where she had worked for 44 years. Joyce was very supportive of all the activities at the university and was active in the school's Model UN program.

Joyce leaves behind her dear friend Dean Bergeron. She also leaves her cousins Charles Eagers of Farmington, ME, Catherine Green of Florida, Mark Baker of Florida, Matthew Baker of California, and Derek Baker of California. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private. Arrangements are in the care of McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield.
