Joyce Janerico

Joyce E. Janerico, 80, of Wakefield died Thursday November 21, at the Pilgrim Rehabilitation Center in Peabody.

Born in Watertown on April 26, 1933 she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Marjorie (MacEachern) Compton.

Joyce was raised in Watertown, Cambridge, and Tewksbury. She had been a Wakefield resident since 1985 and also enjoyed spending time in Lakeland, Florida. She was a retired cook from the Abby Hill Nursing Home in Saugus.

Joyce was the wife of the late Charles Janerica and the late Robert Edwards. She is survived by her 6 children; Linda Collier of Atkinson, NH, Susan Kolinsky of Saugus, Jean Kolinsky of Wakefield, Marjorie Fyffe of Lakeland, FL, Robert Edwards of Peabody, Dawn D'Amico of Saugus, Patricia Edwards of Suffern, NY, 3 step-children; John Janerico of Revere, Maryjane Price of Arkansas, and Charlene Gately of Woburn. 3 sisters; Elizabeth Lanni of Verdi, NV, Ann Posluszny of Lawrence, Dawn Libby of Albion, RI and her brother Edward Compton of Meredith, NH. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Joyce was predeceased by her sister Eugenia Fowler, her brother Harry Compton, and a step-daughter Kathy Owellette.

Funeral services are in the care of the McDonald funeral Home and will be private.
