Juanita L. "Cookie" Ridis

Juanita “Cookie” L. Ridis, age 74 of Peabody, died peacefully on Friday December 15 at the Rosewood Nursing Home in Peabody. 

She was born in Lynn on September 10, 1949, and was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Lois (Gillikin) Rosenthal. 

Cookie was a 30 year employee with the Gillette Company, working as a financial analyst in both the offices at the Prudential Center and in South Boston. She retired from the Gillette Company and relocated to the Clearwater, Florida area where she lived for many years. When her mother, Lois became ill, Cookie relocated to Beaufort, North Carolina where she cared for her mother for several years. She often referred to these years as "the best years" of her life. She then relocated back to Peabody where she grew up to receive the necessary care she needed at her life's end.

She was the loving sister of her brother Kenneth Rosenthal and his wife Susan Cafazzo of Peabody, and Christine Hopper of Palm Harbor, Florida. She is also survived by her nephew Kenneth Jr., of Beverly, and her niece Elizabeth Whalen of Dover, NH. 

Her Funeral Services will be private.
