June Sleger

June C . Sleger , 72 of Wakefield died Saturday July 10, at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington, following a brief illness. Born in Boston, June 15, 1938 she was the daughter of the late Eugene M. and Phyllis (Hoar) Gillis.

June was a graduate of Winthrop High School class of 1956, and also attended Fisher Junior College. June was retired from Agfa Corporation where she was the Payroll Clerk. She had been an active member of the Rainbow Girls in Winthrop.

June is survived by her husband Leon F. Sleger of Wakefield, and her children; Bonnie Lee Sleger Braese and her husband Stephen of Woburn, and Mark Alan Sleger and his wife Nancy M. Given Sleger of Wakefield. She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren; Elisabeth and Jonathan Braese, and Shelby, Jeffrey, and Andrew Sleger .

A Funeral service will be held in the McDonald funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday at 10:30am. A period of visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-8pm.
