Kashmira Thakkar

Kashmira Thakkar passed away on September 30th 2013 in Reading, MA at the age of 50. Born on November 16th 1962 her life was filled with great memories, triumphs, and obstacles that she overcame time and time again. Kashmira worked at Lockheed Martin in Chelmsford, MA up until 2007 when she was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis in her lungs and put on the list for a double lung transplant. After living with the condition for two years she underwent a double lung transplant in February of 2009. Her body rejected the new lungs and for the next four years every day was a struggle. Her goal was to be able to watch her son, Sajan Thakkar , graduate from college. She fought every day to see that goal through and she attended his graduation on May 18th, 2013.

Kashmira Thakkar was a loving mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend. She was a truly selfless woman. Even in her final days she continued to worry about everyone but her self. She touched many lives and she will live on through each and every one of them. Funeral services will be private. www.mcdonaldfs.com
