Katherine Tassinari

Katherine C. Tassinari 74, of Stoneham formerly of Wakefield died at her on Sunday May 3. Born in Cambridge, January 22, 1935 she was the daughter of the late Cyril and Katherine (Kierce) Lanigan.

Katherine was a graduate of St. John's High School in No. Cambridge class of 1953. She was a longtime resident of Wakefield and had wintered in Marco Island, Florida since 1988. Katherine enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She was the wife of Alfred J. Tassinari. Mother of Lisa Levy and husband Robert, and Scott Tassinari all of No. Andover, David Tassinari of Amesbury, Michael Tassinari and wife Joan of Churchville, MD and Kevin Tassinari and wife Gayle of Andover. Sister of Paul Lanigan of Boston, Shirley McHugh of Watertown, Mary Ellen Ross of Franklin, Jane Nolan of Billerica and Elizabeth Lanigan of Arlington. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren.

The funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Thursday at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends may call at the Funeral Home on Wednesday 4-8 PM. Interment, Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield.
