Kathleen Curley

Kathleen P. Curley, 53, of Wakefield, died on Friday, December 19th at her home.

Born in Melrose on August 16, 1955, she was the daughter of the late William T. and Catherine (Rice) Curley.

Kathy was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1973 and an elementary education graduate of Simmons College. She was a waitress for over 30 years for the Ninety Nine Restaurants before her retirement. She was awarded a Plaque for Excellence in her service and was the longest working waitress in the Ninety Nine franchise. Kathy was a loving and devoted daughter to her family and friends and loved Long Beach in Rockport, traveling to Aruba, photography, cooking and was an avid Red Sox fan. She also loved her cat Oreo.

She was the loving companion of Robert Lynch of Wakefield. She was survived by two nieces, Shannon Myers of Melrose, MA, and Erin Myers of North Attleboro, MA. She was survived by her aunt and uncle, Marian F. Orne of Topsfield and Charles F. Rice of Fremont, New Hampshire. She is survived by the following cousins: Jay J. Curley, Mark M. Curley, Martha C. Grimaldi, Charles F. Hartshorne, Jo-Ann M. Baker, Kathleen Schmidgall, Charles F. Rice, Patricia Roberti, Sharon Pierce and Michael Rice. Kathy was predeceased by her sister, Mary Myers, and her cousin M. Patience Spinello.

A funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph's Church, Wakefield on Friday at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends may call at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Avenue, Wakefield, MA prior to the mass from 9:30 to 11:00 A.M.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
