Kathleen Jortberg

Kathleen Marie Jortberg (née O'Brien) passed away on Monday September 7, 2015 while visiting with her family for the holiday weekend. She is predeceased by her husband Charles Jortberg, her daughter Susan, and her sister Pat. She is survived by her children David Jortberg of Rochester NH, her daughter Ellen Jortberg of Medfield, MA, her son Paul Jortberg and his wife Suzanne of Windham NH, her sister Alice O'Brien of Lynn, MA, and nephews, Jim and Bill Driscoll and their children.

She is also survived by her three grand children, whom she absolutely adored, Jessica Jortberg of Sandown, NH and Elise and Sam Jortberg of Windham, NH.

Kathy was a graduate of Merrimack College in North Andover, MA and spent most of her adult life living in Lynnfield, MA. She was an avid golfer (and pretty darn good at it too!). Charlie and Kathy joined the Salem Country Club close to 50 years ago and thoroughly enjoyed the lifelong friends they made there. They were also members of Wyndemere Country Club in Naples FL, where she leaves the many friends she met over the 20 years spent there in the winter.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., in Wakefield on Sunday from 2-6pm. A Funeral Mass will celebrated on Monday at the Our Lady of Assumption Church, corner of Grove and Salem Sts., in Lynnfield at 10am. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Lynnfield.
