Kathleen MacDonald

Kathleen E. MacDonald, 71 of Stoneham and formerly of Woburn died August 10 in Stoneham. She was born on May 9, 1943 and was the daughter of the late J. Callan and Helen (McLaughlin) MacDonald. Miss. MacDonald was raised in Woburn and was a graduate of Woburn High School, Class of 1960. She later graduated from Bridgewater State College in 1964 and earned her Masters Degree in Education from Northeastern University in 1969 and in 1992 earned a degree in Computer Science from Leslie College. She retired from the Melrose Public Schools where she was a physical education instructor in the elementary school system for many years. She was a member of the Massachusetts Teachers Association and an active member of the Melrose Teachers Association. She was an avid golfer and skier and enjoyed vacations in Maine.

She was the loving sister of Robert MacDonald of Gardner, Jean Alderson of of ME, Carol Lynch of Burlington, Barbara Purdy of ME and the late Elaine Williamson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick Church 71 Central St. Stoneham on Saturday August 16 at 10:00. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
