Kathleen Smith

Kathleen E . Smith , 84, of Burlington formerly of Somerville, died on Sunday, April 27 at the Sunrise of Burlington.

Born in Boston on October 1, 1929 she was the daughter of the late Charles V. and Emma M. (Proctor) Ellison.

Mrs. Smith was raised in Cambridge and was a resident of Somerville for over 40 years. She was a former member of the Harvard St. Lutheran Church in Cambridge. Mrs. Smith enjoyed playing Bingo at the VFW Logan Post in Somerville and babysitting her grandson and her nieces and nephews.

She was the wife of the late John J. Smith . Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughter Laurie Bennett and her husband Bill of Wilmington, her four sisters; Marlene Ellison of Arlington, Sandra Boudreau of Cambridge, Susan Holt of Florida, Marjorie Stewart of Connecticut and her brother Stephen Ellison of New Hampshire and her grandson Liam Bennett. She was predeceased by her two sisters; Joan Ellison and Gladys Cohen and her three brothers; Charles Ellison, David Ellison and Ronald Ellison.

A funeral service will be held in the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Thursday at 11am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home prior to the service starting at 10am. Interment will be at Lindenwood Cemetery in Stoneham.
