Kelly Nellis McLean , 12, of Wakefield died on Wednesday, March 3 at the Children's Hospital in Boston.

Born in Boston January 5, 1998 she was the daughter of Frank A. and Sharon Nellis McLean .

Kelly was a graduate of Walton Elementary School and was in the sixth grade at Galvin Middle School. She was a member of Bear Hill Swim Team, the Woburn Boys and Girls Club Swim Team, Wakefield Youth Soccer and the Galvin Middle School Best Buddies program. Kelly was known best for her beautiful smile.

In addition to her parents she is survived by her sister Megan F. McLean of Wakefield and her grandmother Kathleen McLean of Maryland. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, great cousin and her two cats Lizzie and Logan. Kelly was predeceased by her grandparents; Frank E. McLean and Kenneth L. and Marie S. Nellis .

A funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield on Monday at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends may call at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Sunday from 1 to5 p.m. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Children' Hospital Boston, c/o of Donations, 300 Longwood Ave., Boston, MA 02115.
