Kenneth M. Duncan, 92, of Wakefield died on Saturday, January 29 at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading.
Born in Everett on August 23, 1918 was the son of the late James and Alice (Hurd) Duncan.
Mr. Duncan had been a Wakefield resident since 1948. He was a graduate of Everett High School, Class of 1936. Mr. Duncan had retired in 1991 from the McNabb Engineering Company in Waltham as a Tool & Dye maker. He was the past president of the Bulldogs Club of New England. Mr. Duncan served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He held the rank of Staff Sergeant in the 447th Bombardment Squadron and his unit had flown 450 combat missions in the Mediterranean Theater of Operations.
Mr. Duncan is survived by his wife Lillian (Beaucher) Duncan, his son Dale K. Duncan and his wife Janie of East Waterboro, Maine and his daughter Alison B. Marton and her husband Richard of Groton. He is also survived by his 5 grandchildren and his 7 great grandchildren. Mr. Duncan was predeceased by his brother William Duncan.
A period of visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Thursday from 4-8pm. A graveside service will be held at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, 185 Lake St. Peabody on Friday at 10am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sawtelle Family Hospice House, 320 Haverhill St, Reading, MA 01867.
