Kenneth M. Nesbitt, Sr. age 82, of Saugus, died Wednesday, May 30 at the Rosewood Nursing Home in Peabody.
Born in Canton, Ohio on February 14, 1936 he was the son of the late Echols and Lillian (Neff) Nesbitt.
Mr. Nesbitt was raised and educated in Canton, Ohio. He left high school to enlist in the United States Navy and served four years before being Honorably Discharged in 1957. He later went back school to receive his high school diploma. He was an avid New England sports fan and also enjoyed bowling and playing softball. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.
He was the beloved husband of Joan A. (Goodwin) Nesbitt, with whom he shared more than 60 years of marriage. He was the loving father of Karen Blair and her husband Richard of Fremont, NH and Kenneth Nesbitt, Jr. and his wife Debra of Nashua, NH. He was the grandfather of Eric Blair and his fiancée Lauren Chakoutis, Kelly Blair, and Brittany and Tyler Nesbitt. He was the great grandfather of Landon Blair and Kyleigh Hinson. He was the brother of the late Charlotte Biedenbach, and Donald & Richard Nesbitt. He is also survived by numerous family members.
A Graveside Service at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, 185 Lake St., Peabody on Friday at Noon. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Arrangements are in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield.
