Lawrence L. LaRocque

Lawrence L. LaRocque, age 85 of Stoneham died April 26, 2024 in Reading after a long period of failing health.

 He was born in Boston, MA on May 12, 1938 and was the son of the late Lawrence and Catherine (Traynor) LaRocque. 

He was raised in Somerville and was a graduate of Somerville High School. Mr. LaRocque was retired from the former Polaroid Corporation of Waltham after many years of service and was a member of the Polaroid Retired Employees Association. He was a fifty year member of the Somerville YMCA and was also an avid Boston sports fan and horse racing fan. He was also Korean War veteran and served with the U.S. Army. 

 He was the brother of the late Richard and Robert LaRocque and Lorraine LeBlanc and Patricia Wright. He is survived by his sister in-law Sheila M LaRocque of Peabody as well as several nieces and nephews.

His Funeral Service will be held in the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home 322 Main Street Stoneham on Wednesday May 1 at 12 Noon. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 10:00. Interment with Military Honors will be held at Saint Patrick Cemetery in Stoneham.
