Lawrence Massaquoi

Lawrence M. Massaquoi, age 63 of Wakefield died December 30 in Cambridge. Born in Sierra Leone on July 3, 1949 the son of the late Momoh & Jebeh (Janga) Massaquoi. Mr. Massaquoi was raised in Sierra Leone and earned his Certificate of Higher Teaching from at Milton Margai Teachers College of Freetown. Sierra Leone. He came to the United States in 1974 and later graduated from Suffolk University in 1978 and began his career in Human Services field.

Mr. Massaquoi is survived by his son Kenei N-S Massaquoi and his daughter Sani L. Massaquoi both of Wakefield. He was the cousin of Mohamed Janga of Wakefield and is also survived by his former wife Sherry K. Sayce. He was preceded in death by his elder brother Siaka Massaquoi.

His funeral service will be held in the Greenwood Union Church corner of Main & Oak Sts. Wakefield on Sunday at 4:00pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
