Leo Bourdon, Jr.

Leo E . "Buddy" Bourdon , Jr ., 83, of North Reading, formerly of Lynnfield and Wakefield, died on Sunday, February 21 at The Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading.

Born in Wakefield on May 7, 1926 he was the son of the late Leo E . and Carolyn (Fickheisen) Bourdon .

Mr. Bourdon was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1944. During World War II he served in the U.S. Army.
He was the retired owner and President of the former Bourdon Studios, a long time family business, located in the Bourdon Building on Main St., Wakefield.

Mr. Bourdon was a member of the Wakefield Rotary Club and was a Paul Harris Fellow. He was also a member of the Ancient & Honorable Artillery Company, the Thompson Country Club in North Reading and the Fusiliers.

Mr. Bourdon was the husband of the late Martha (Hocking) Bourdon . He was the father of David Bourdon and his wife Terri of Blacksburg, VA, Thomas P. Bourdon and his wife Susan of Lynnfield and Beth Cloyd and her husband Russ of Londonderry, NH. He was the brother of Priscilla Heinecke and her husband G. Edward of WI. He is also survived by his 4 grandchildren, Jamie, Alison, Holly and Andrew.

A funeral service will be held at the First Parish Congregational Church, 1 Church St., Wakefield on Friday at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends may call at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Thursday, from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be at Ridge Cemetery in Tenants Harbor, ME.
