Leonard Tamasi

Leonard Tamasi of Lynnfield, age 80, died Wednesday November 4.

Born in Carpinone, Italy on October 5, 1929 he was the son of the late Michael and Elisa Tamasi .

Mr. Tamasi came to the United States from Italy at age 17. He took great pride in this country. He was founder and Chairman of Boston Centerless Inc. of Woburn and Avon. He was a Board member of the National Tooling and Machining Association and a Delegate to the International Special Tooling Association and had also served as a member of the Advisory Board of BayBank. He was a member of the Thomson Country Club of North Reading and the Vineyards Country Club of Naples, FL. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve and the U.S. Air Force.

Mr. Tamasi was the beloved husband of Dorothy C. (Pedulla) Tamasi to whom he was married for 49 years. He was also the loving father of Michael Tamasi & wife Susan of Canton, Steven Tamasi & wife Mary of Winchester and Nancy Hunter & husband David of Reading. He was the brother of Lucy DeVincenzo of Everett and Yolanda Fabrizio of Saugus. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren Matthew, Christopher, Andrea, Jack, Peter and Stephanie Tamasi and Samantha & Cole Hunter.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield on Saturday at 9am followed by a funeral mass in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Lynnfield at 10:00. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Friday 4-8 pm. Entombment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.
