91 a longtime Lynnfield resident died Friday July 17 at the North Shore Medical Center in Salem.
Born in Lexington March 31, 1918 he was the son of the late Silas and Annie (Corbett)

Mr.
Armstrong
was a graduate of Lexington High School class of 1936. An Army veteran of World War II he served in General George Patton's Fifth Division. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge and at Omaha Beach. Following the war he was involved with coaching Little League Baseball. Mr.
Armstrong
retired from O'Brien & Sons Clothing of Medford in 1983 after 37 years.
Mr.
Armstrong
was the husband of the late Phyllis (Adams)
Armstrong
. He was the father of Martha Horton and her husband Rick of Londonderry, NH and the late David
Armstrong
. He was the brother of Russell J.
Armstrong
of Lexington and the late Nora Zelch, Louise Healy, Howard, Robert, and Mildred
Armstrong
. He is also survived by his grandson Alex Horton.
A Funeral service will be held at the McDonald funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday at 10am. Relatives and friends may call at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-7pm.
Interment will be at Westview Cemetery in Lexington.
