Lillian Varricchio , 89, of Lynnfield, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 12 at the Rosewood Nursing Home in Peabody.

Born in Chelsea on April 17, 1921, she was the daughter of the late David and Maria (Iantosca) Catalano.

Mrs. Varricchio was a graduate of Chelsea High School, class of 1939. She was a member of St. Anthony's Church in Revere and had been a Lynnfield resident for 56 years. Lillian enjoyed Crocheting, gardening and cooking.

Mrs. Varricchio was the beloved wife of the late Albert M. Varricchio . She was the loving mother of Arthur Varricchio and his wife Mary and Linda Couture and her husband Richard all of Lynnfield, and the cherished grandmother of Gregg Couture. Lillian was the sister of Patrick Catalano of Chelsea, and the late Marion Fuccillo, Jennie Bettencourt, George, Joseph, Ralph, Anthony, and Andrew Catalano. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Anthony Church, 250 Revere St., Revere on Friday at 12:00 P.M. Visitation call at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield, prior to the mass from 9 – 11 A.M. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472
