Lillian White

Lillian M. White, 84, of Wakefield died at the Bear Hill Nursing Center on Friday, Oct. 5th.

Born in Melrose on June 3, 1928, she was the daughter of the late George F. and Minnie (Duffy) Holt.

Mrs. White was a graduate of the Malden Business School and had worked for American Policy Holders and American Mutual in Wakefield for 34 years. A life-long Wakefield resident, Lillian was a member of St. Florence Parish and had been a member of the St. Florence Ladies Sodality.

Mrs. White was the wife of Richard F. White of 67 years. She was the sister in law of Mary "Laura" White of Peabody and Bernice White of Gloucester. She was the aunt of Frank Holt and his wife Linda of Exeter, NH. She was the great aunt of Clifford and Melanie Holt. She was sister of the late George, Richard, Minard, and Frank Holt.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday at 10 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield at 11 o'clock. A period of visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Assoc., MA Chapter, 75 McNeil Way, Suite 201, Dedham, MA 02026 or to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
