Linda J. Camuso
Linda graduated in the first graduating class of Lynnfield High School where she excelled at tennis, field hockey and basketball. She was a member of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority while attending the University of New Hampshire where she met and later married her best friend, Steve.
Linda taught English in TX where Steve was stationed in the US Army. She continued teaching when they moved to Lynnfield where they remained in their “starter home” for 48 years.
Linda and her family enjoyed many years at their ski house, “Chalet Moose,” in North Conway, NH with many friends and family.
Over the course of 57 years, Linda was a prominent figure in Women’s Golf at Salem Country Club winning many tournaments (including several Club Championships) following in the footsteps of her mother, Edie O’Connor.
Linda was fiercely proud of her family and always involved in her children’s and later her grandchildren’s lives. She was such a positive supporter that she was widely considered “everyone’s mom.”
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Saint Maria Goretti Church, 112 Chestnut St., Lynnfield on Tuesday, May 21 at 11am. The family will receive relatives and friends at the church prior to the Mass beginning at 9:30am. Interment, Forest Hill Cemetery, Lynnfield.
