Linda Norton, 60, of Middleton, formerly of Malden, died from Leukemia on Tuesday, January 8 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Born in Cambridge on February 1, 1952 she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Ines (Borges) Furtado.
Linda was a graduate of Malden High School, Class of 1969 and the Chandler School for Women in Boston, 1971. She had been a Middleton resident since 1989. Linda was a local realtor and most recently worked for the Bean Group of Andover. She also volunteered for the Red Cross.
Linda was devoted to her family and friends. She loved traveling and enjoyed the beach.
Linda was the wife of Pat Norton of Middleton. She was the mother of Jared Galvin and his wife Kelly of Naples, ME, and Dana Galvin and his wife Katelyn of Groveland. She was the sister of Mario Furtado of Magnolia and the grandmother of Colby, Anna and Declan Galvin.
Her funeral will be held from the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Saturday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 o'clock. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
