Lisa C. Quinn, age 63 of Fitchburg, formerly of Wakefield and Medford, died Thursday, August 23 surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Melrose on April 10, 1955 she was the daughter of Charles and Carolyn (Cook) Johnson.
Mrs. Quinn was raised in Wakefield and Medford and was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1973. She later went on to earn a degree in nursing from the Chelsea Soldier's Home School of Nursing. Throughout her career, she had worked in the nursing home industry, and also spent time working in embroidery.
She was the beloved wife of Joseph A.C. Quinn. She was the loving mother of Sandra Quinn-Vieira, Charles Quinn, and Jason Quinn; and the step-mother of Joey Quinn and Earl Quinn. She was the cherished grandmother of Paige Quinn, Jacob Vieira, Ashiah Vieira, Wyatt Quinn and Levi Quinn. She was the sister of Christine Johnson, Bette Johnson, Mary Johnson Cunniff, and the late Nancy Boardman.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday from 5-8pm. A Graveside Service will be held at Lakeside Cemetery, Beacon St., Wakefield on Friday at 11am.
