Lisabeth R. "Lisa" Casavant, 53, of Wakefield passed away on November 5th at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, surrounded by loving friends and family.
Born in Walnut Creek, CA on August 28, 1960, she was the daughter of Raymond and the late Priscilla (Girouard) Casavant.
Mrs. Casavant was a graduate of Wakefield High School, class of 1978. Lisa had worked at Forest Manor Nursing Home and also as a teller at The Savings Bank in Wakefield. A graduate of the University of Connecticut, class of 1982, Lisa also attended Assumption College. She had been a resident of Andover since 1999 and was the owner and operator of Positive Pets in Andover. Lisa dedicated her entire life to the advocacy and rescue of animals; mainly her beloved bully breeds. She worked tirelessly to end Breed Specific Legislation. She will be dearly missed by countless volunteers, clients, friends and most of all, dogs.
In addition to her beloved father Raymond R. Casavant, Lisa is also survived by her beloved brother Christopher Casavant, both of Wakefield.
Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Monday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 o'clock. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 1-4pm.
Interment will be at Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
