Lorraine Desautels

Lorraine B. Desautels, 80, of Lynnfield died Monday, July 6 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.

Born in Webster on April 2, 1929 she was the daughter of the late Ferdinand and Antoinette (Gadoury) Brisebois.

Mrs. Desautels was a graduate of St. Anne's High School. She was an active member of St. Maria Goretti Church in Lynnfield and the Church's Choir. For many years, Mrs. Desautels celebrated her faith by providing a miraculous medal and prayer card with a personal note to every child receiving First Communion.

Lorraine was an avid gardener and greatly enjoyed the beautiful flowers in her yard, but nothing gave her more joy than being surrounded by her family. Her grandchildren were the shining light in her life and she was beloved and adored by them all.

Mrs. Desautels was the wife of the late Alfred Desautels. She was the mother of Denise Glade and her husband Dennis of Harwich, Neil Desautels and his wife Theresa and Janice Neville and her husband Michael all of Lynnfield and Lisanne Wilson and her husband Joseph of Monument, CO. Mrs. Desautels was the grandmother of Jennifer and Andrew Stone of Boston, Jacqueline Desautels and Connor and Liam Neville all of Lynnfield and Kellyn and Drake Wilson of Monument, CO. She was the cherished sister-n-law of Elinor Deary and Harold Desautels both of Dudley and sister of Lucille Dunn of Jefferson and Constance Symczak of Charlton.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Saturday at 9:30am followed by a funeral mass in St. Maria Goretti Church, 112 Chestnut St, Lynnfield at 10:30am. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Friday 4-8pm. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Lynnfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B102, Danvers, MA 01923.
