Lorraine Peabody

Lorraine Peabody, 94, a longtime Wakefield resident, died Monday, August 12 at the Salem Hospital.

Born in Medford on August 24, 1918 she was the daughter of Leslie S. and Bernice S. (Stetson) Kinsman.

Mrs. Peabody was a graduate of Punchard High School in Andover and later went on to graduate from Westbrook Junior College of Maine. She had been a member of First Parish Congregational Church of Wakefield. She was a retired clerk from the former American Mutual Insurance Company.

Mrs. Peabody was the wife of the late Donald N. Peabody. She is survived by her children Charles K. Peabody and Leslie P. Roberto, both of Wakefield. Additionally, she is survived by her grandchildren Steven and his wife Polina and Scott and his wife Janis and her great grandchild Kelly. She was predeceased by her companion Eddy Wydra.

A funeral service will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Saturday at 11am. A visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 4-7pm. Interment, Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
