Lorraine Prive

Lorraine E . Prive passed away peacefully at the age of 86 surrounded by her four children on Easter Sunday. She grew up in Stoneham, Mass., the daughter of John and Augusta LeBlanc. Lorraine was married in 1950, beloved wife of Andrew L. Prive , Jr. (deceased). Together, they built a lovely home and raised their children in Stoneham. She was a lifetime parishioner of St. Patrick's Church, attended St. Patrick's School and later worked as a secretary in the Rectory. She was an active member of the Mother's Club. In 1986, Lorraine retired as secretary of Stoneham South School. She loved children, socializing, baking, sewing, playing cards and dancing. She enjoyed traveling with her friends, spending summers in Vermont and winters in Florida with her husband, children and grandchildren. Lorraine was a loving mother to her four children and is survived by; Kathleen Kennedy and husband Michael of Lynnfield, Jean Gravel of Stoneham, Linda Prive of Florida, Michael Prive and wife Svetlana of Ashby. She was blessed with four grandchildren; Matthew Gravel (deceased), Katelin, Sarah, and Michael Kennedy, Jr. Devoted sister of Marilyn Testa of North Reading and Jean LeBlanc of Stoneham and sister-in-law of Brenda ( Prive ) LaConti of Lynnfield. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Friday from 5:00 - 8:00pm. Her Funeral will be held from the Funeral Home on Saturday at 9AM, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10AM. Interment will take place at Lindenwood Cemetery, Montvale Ave., Stoneham.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be the Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452 or to the Courtyard Nursing Care Center, 200 Governors Ave., Medford, MA 02155.
