Louis DiSarcina, age 90 of Medford died Wednesday, October 28 in Winchester. Mr. DiSarcina was born in Gaeta, Italy on October 6, 1925 and was the beloved son of the late Joseph and Maria (Caruso) DiSarcina. Louis came to the United States at age five when his mother joined his father in Milford, MA. Louis was raised in Somerville and was a graduate of Somerville High School, Class of 1943. He was a decorated W.W. II Veteran and served in the U.S. Army as a Sargent seeing action in Northern Italy. After the war he remained in Italy and served with the Allied Military Government. During this time he met his future wife, Rosanna (Negro) in 1945 in Torino, Italy. Louis and Rosanna spent years living in both the U.S. and Italy. They enjoyed travel and spent winters in Spain. He was a retired sales representative in the furniture industry and had worked at the former Paines Furniture of Boston and Barbo's of Stoneham. Louis also became an avid student of history and politics and loved his large collection of books. He loved traveling and enjoyed sharing his knowledge and experiences with family and friends.
Louis is survived by his beloved wife Rosanna of Medford and Torino, Italy. He is also survived by his brother Tony DiSarcina of Stoneham and his nephew Roberto of Italy, as well as many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be private.
