, of Wakefield and formerly Somerville died at his home in Wakefield on Thursday, January 20. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Prospero and Marie (Burlone)

Prisco
was raised in Somerville and was a graduate of Somerville High School. He later went on to graduate from the Wentworth College in Boston and had worked for the Polaroid Corp. before retiring as a Supervisor in 1982. Lou had served in the U.S. Army during WW II and had been a member of both the Wakefield Lodge of Elks and also the American Legion Post in Burlington. Among his many accomplishments, Mr.
Prisco
was most known for his skill with a Pool cue. "The Phantom", as he was known, had been creating and performing trick shots for over 50 years. He created and produced a television show about pool, "The Phantom", which was aired during the 80's, where he would demonstrate his famous trick shot for which he was nick-named. Mr.
Prisco
was the 1964 Cue & Cushion Straight Pool Open Tournament Champion and in 1988 he won five consecutive tournaments in the Wakefield Elks Nine Ball Open. Lou had also been the 1983 Miller Lite Regional Champion and in 1995 he was inducted into the New England Pool & Billiard Hall of Fame. In 2009 he was honored by the Wakefield Elks when the newly renovated Pool room was dedicated to him.

. He is predeceased by his brother Arthur

and also his sister Frances Miller. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave Wakefield on Friday at 9:00 A.M. followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St. Wakefield at 10 o'clock. A period of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 – 8 P.M.
Interment will at Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.
