Louis J. Marasca Jr., 80 of Stoneham died Saturday at the Winchester Hospital. Born in Boston December 12, 1930 he was the son of the late Louis J. and Margaret (Lee) Marasca.
Louis was raised in East Boston. He was a graduate of Boston Trade School. Louis served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Eastern Steel/Modern Die of Dorchester where he was the Operation Manager. Louis was devoted to his family, and was a rabid Red Sox fan.
Louis was the husband of Marie A. (Calabraro) Marasca with whom he shared 50 years of marriage.He was the father of Mark L. Marasca and wife Maureen of Concord, NH, Stephen L. Marasca and wife Amanda of Derry, NH, Lisa Hughes and husband Paul of Marshfield, and David V. Marasca and wife Brenda of Wakefield, brother of Doris Sarty of Brewster, and the late Vincent Marasca, and Christine Soper. He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren, Jennifer, Stephanie, Erica, Zach, Madison, Hannah, and Aidan, and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham on Wednesday at 10 a.m. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS, 66675-8517
