Louis J . Pasquale , 93, of Stoneham formerly Wakefield, died Saturday June 7, at Lawrence General Hospital.
Born in Wakefield on October 19, 1920 he was the son of the late Dominic and Catherine (Carosella) Pasquale .
Louis was a graduate of Wakefield High School Class of 1940. He was the owner of Vernon Market in Wakefield. He had also worked for the Wakefield Municipal Gas & Light Department and had been a school bus driver in Peabody. He was a member of the St. Joseph's Church in Wakefield. During WWII, he served in the Navy on the USS Indiana in the Pacific. He was involved in the Battle of Midway and the signing of the Peace Treaty at Tokyo Bay.
Louis is the beloved husband of Nancy (Cicciarello) Pasquale . He was the beloved father of Joan L. Caggiano and husband Paul of Lynnfield and the late Diane McCarthy. Brother of the late Olga Drinkwater, Eva Marotta, Lena Rich, and Anthony Pasquale . He is also survived by 2 grandchildren, Jonathan and Stephen, 3 step-grandchildren, Jamie, Jason, and Courtney, and several nieces and nephews.
His Funeral from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 o'clock. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.
Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
