Chesley
, 90, a life-long Wakefield resident died Monday, October 13th after a brief stay at the Sawtelle Hospice House in Reading.
Born in Melrose on June 26, 1918 she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Madeline (DeFazio) Granese.
Louise
was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1936, and also Simmons College in Boston. She earned her master's degree from Boston University.
Louise
was active in the Wakefield Community, having taught in the Business Department at Wakefield High School where she retired in 1990. An excellent Italian chef, she enjoyed cooking for her family both in Wakefield and while vacationing at her summer home on Cape Cod every year until her passing.
For 56 years she was the devoted wife of the late Colonel Raymond G.

, a decorated WII and Korean War Veteran.

Jr. and his wife Janet of North Reading, Mary Jane Madore and her husband James of Georgetown and Barbara

. Perra and her husband Malcolm of Gloucester. "Mimi" was the cherished grandmother of Raymond

, Susan and her husband Steven Roge, Colette Madore, James Madore, Siobhan and her husband James Agganis, Kanitah Conley and her fiancé Kevin Smith, Kara Conley and Matthew Perra. Her great grandchildren include Rylee, Teagan, Logan, Brenna and Jackson. In addition to the above, she will be greatly missed by her canine companion, Major.

was predeceased by her sister Mary Granese-Smith and her brother Andrew Granese.
Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Friday at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St, Wakefield at 10 AM. Her family will greet friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield.
