Louise Silvestri

Louise A . Silvestri , 96, of Andover formerly of Wakefield died on Monday, September 9 at the Wingate at Andover.

Born in Chelsea on April 13, 1917 she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Luccia (DiGrigorio) Contardo.

Mrs. Silvestri was raised in Chelsea and was a longtime Wakefield resident.

She was the beloved wife the late Gino Silvestri . She was the loving mother of Steven J. Silvestri and his wife Marge of North Reading, Louis G. Silvestri and his wife LaVerne of Amesbury and Constance L. Beane and her husband Leo of York Beach, ME. She was the sister of Josephine Contardo and Rose Santangello of Revere and the late Rocco and Joseph Contardo and Carmella DiPardova. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Saturday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 o'clock. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 4-7pm. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.
