Madeline Eramo

Madeline F . Eramo , 96, a life-long Stoneham resident, passed away at the Arnold House in Stoneham on Friday, July 27.

Born in Stoneham on July 5, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Madeline (Conefey) Pratt.

Mrs. Eramo was a graduate of Stoneham High School. She had worked for the Winchester Hospital and the Bear Hill Golf Club as a cashier. An active member and treasurer of the Stoneham Senior Center, Mrs. Eramo enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Eramo was the wife of the late Edward G. Eramo . She was the mother of Carol Messina and her husband John of Saugus, Donna Sullivan and her late husband Philip of Ipswich, Glenn J. Eramo and his wife Heidi of Stoneham, and the late Edrward G. Eramo , Jr. She was the grandmother of Nancy Prentiss, Michael Eramo , Elaine Fuller, Suzan Acosta, Craig Sullivan, Neil Sullivan, Lee Eramo and the late Edward F . McManamin. Mrs. Eramo is also survived by her nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister Marjorie Pratt.

A funeral service will be held at the McDonald – Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St. Stoneham, on Monday at 1:00 p.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery in Stoneham.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VNA of Middlesex East and Visiting Nurse Hospice, 607 North Ave. Suite 17, Wakefield, MA 01880.
