Madge Schwarz

Madge C. Schwarz, of Peabody formerly of Lynnfield, died on Thursday, March 24 at the Renaissance Gardens at Brooksby Village in Peabody.

Born in Boston of June 5, 1913 she was the daughter of the late William and Ethel (Ross) Cannon.

Mrs. Schwarz was a graduate of Brighton High School and Boston Secretarial School. She had been a resident of Lynnfield for 54 years before moving to Brooksby Village in Peabody in 2001. Mrs. Schwarz had retired as a manager from Jordan Marsh in Burlington in 1983. She was a former member of the Wayside Wheel at the Centre Congregational Church in Lynnfield.

She was the wife of the late Henry C. Schwarz. Mrs. Schwarz is survived by her six children; Jane S. Bates and her husband David of Ithaca, NY, Peter J. Schwarz and his wife Iris of Orlando, FL, Henry C. Schwarz, Jr. of Topsham, ME, William W. Schwarz of Gilsum, NH, Susan L. Penkethman of Reading and Robert F. Schwarz and his wife Linell M. of Byfield. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be private.

Memorial contribution may be made to the Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St, Suite B102, Danvers, MA 01923.

Arrangements are in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield.
