Maragret Mccarte

Margaret K. McCarte, 93 of Wakefield and Hampton, NH died on Friday, December 25 at her residence.

Born in Wakefield on March 13, 1916 she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Katherine (Healy) Powers.

Mrs. McCarte was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School. She had worked for John Hancock Insurance Company.

Mrs. McCarte was the wife of the late Vincent D. McCarte and the sister of the late Thomas Powers, John Powers, William Powers and Mary Powers. She is survived by her two step brothers; Al O'Brien and Jack Lynch. Mrs. McCarte is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Thursday at 9am followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church 173 Albion St, Wakefield at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-7pm. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
