Marceline A. Frotten, 85, passed away at the Golden Living Center of Melrose - Elmhurst on Sunday morning.
Born in Nova Scotia, Canada on April 24, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Odessa Doucette.
Mrs. Frotten was a graduate of Quinan Nova Scotia School and had even worked within the School system later on as a teacher. In 1963 she moved to the U.S. and would work for the Melrose - Wakefield Hospital
for 18 years before retiring. A member of St. Joseph Church in Wakefield, Marceline enjoyed quilting for her family and friends.
Mrs. Frotten was the wife of J. Paul Frotten. She was the mother of Robert Frotten and his wife Anne Marie of Easton, Lawrence D. Frotten and his wife Andrea of NJ, Bernadette M. Lyle and her husband Kenneth of Wakefield, Jeanne L. Hodson and her husband Laurence of North Reading and Ronald A. Frotten and his wife Jeanette of Methuen. Mrs. Frotten was the sister of the late Alma Dulong and Loretta Doucette of Nova Scotia. Marceline is also survived by her grandchildren: Kristina, Yvette, Kerri, Shawn, Crystal, Gregory and Hakeem. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave Wakefield on Thursday at 9 A.M. followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St. Wakefield at 10 o'clock. A period of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wed from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M.
Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery. The family requests in lieu of flowers, dontations can be made to St Vincent DePaul Society at St Joseph Church Wakefield.
