Margaret Cassier

Margaret C . Cassier , 92 of Wakefield died Thursday August 20, at Saints Memorial Hospital in Lowell.

Born in Cambridge on August 20, 1917 she was the daughter of the late John and Ellen (McNulty) Sullivan.

Margaret was a graduate of Chelsea High School class of 1935, and Chelsea Memorial Nursing School class of 1942. She also attended Burdett College in Boston. Margaret retired as a Registered Nurse at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She is survived by her husband Howard J. Cassier , her son James J. Cassier of Wakefield, two daughters; Jeanne M. Smith of Tewksbury and Anne M. Cutter of Parrish, FL, her sister, Elizabeth McBride of Chelsea, five grandchildren, Kimberly, James, Jr., Kristine, Justin and Jessie and six great grandchildren, Nicholas, Courtney, Tyler, Emma, Brittney and Jacob. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Margaret was predeceased by her son Howard J. Cassier , Jr., two brothers, John and James Sullivan and two sisters, Ellen Sullivan and Ruth Cross.

Her funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday at 11am. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 to 8pm.
