Margaret Cardoza

Margaret Chiuve Cardoza of Londonderry, NH formerly of Wakefield died peacefully on April 1, 2017.

Margaret was born in Boston on December 1, 1927 and was the daughter of the late Mario and Guila (Martini) Chuive.

She was raised in East Boston and a graduate of East Boston High School Class of 1944. She was a longtime Wakefield resident and had worked as a teller at East Boston Savings Bank for over 20 years and as the administrative assistant to the director of admissions for district attorney Newman Flanagan from 1982-1991. She was an active member of St. Joseph Church in Wakefield and was a volunteer at Melrose Wakefield Hospital.

Margaret was the beloved wife of the late Ferdinand Cardoza. She was the loving mother of Frederick Cardoza of Bow, NH, Michael J. Cardoza and wife Joyce of Mount Vernon, NH, Mona Cardoza of Everett and the late Jack Cardoza. She was the sister of Alfred Chiuve of Stoneham, Josephine Chiuve Lobue of Irvine, CA, and the late Michael Chiuve, Martha Chiuve Grella, and Emmaneul Chiuve. Grandmother of Keith Cardoza and wife Vicki of Nassau, NH, Nicole Cardoza Ouellette and husband Jamey of Francestown, NH, Chad Cardoza of Newmarket, NH, Lauren Cardoza of Helmetta, NJ, Kristen Cardoza Hawley and husband Brian of Hanscom Airforce Base, MA Danielle Cardoza of Seattle, WA. She was the great grandmother of Taylor Ouelette, Brooklyn Ouelette, and Owen Hawley. She was as predeceased by her best friend Christine Cleary of Weymouth, MA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and special nieces Karen Grella of Stoughton, MA and Elisa LoBue Campell of Irvine, CA.

Her Funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 11:30 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
