OBITUARY

Margaret "Maggie" Carlson, 51, of Reading and formerly of Wakefield died on Sunday, Oct. 21 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

Born in Boston on December 18, 1960 she was the daughter of Margaret M. (Carter) Maguire of Reading and the late James V. Maguire.

Maggie was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1979 and North Adams State College, 1984. She had worked as a transcription proofer for the Administrative Claim Service (ACS) in Winchester. She had been a Reading resident since 1997 and was active in the Annual Jimmy Fund Walk.

Maggie was the wife of Lenny Carlson. She was the mother of Lauren E Carlson and James M. Carlson both of Reading. She was the sister of Claire A. Winters and Joan M. Boodry both of Wakefield, and the late James V. Maguire, Jr. and the aunt of Thomas, Ellen, Catherine and Patrick Boodry and Robert, Evan and Johanna Winters.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill St., Reading at 10:30 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery in Stoneham.
